Substation: Ratanpura
History:
In 1996 some sisters went to the newly opened mission in Bhitaha but for various reasons after some years they left and at present, after the departure of Fr. Hilarius Kujur, the mission remains closed. Again it was re-started in the year 2013 with the coming of Handmaids of Mary Sisters (HM) and thereafter, the diocesan priests to take care of their spiritual need. In 2014, St. Mary’s Mission School was started to cater to the educational needs of the poor.
The Sisters of St. Mary of the Angels work with the Jesuit Fathers and Brothers in Ratanpura, where there is a large school started by Fr. Thomas Chakalakal, S.J. Many of the students of this school are Tharus and they have made great progress with the help of the training given in the mission.

They are also conduct some vocational training programmes for women and girls to help learn a trade or get at least a basic education. Recently they are rendering their service in the school for the under privileged children of surrounding villages of tribal area. They are also involved in health service especially mother and child care. They also educate the people on health & hygienic practices.
