In 1988 the Daughters of St. Anne from Ranchi came to work in Siricia, some 28 kilometers from Chakhni. The immediate purpose was work among the tribals who live along the border between India and Nepal. A school was started and to caters to tribals and to other people of the area.
The congregation of the Daughters of St. Anne, Ranchi rendered their service up to March 2016 and they pulled back due to lack of personnel. From than onwards, the Diocese is looking after the Mission and from 2nd January 2018 a separate priest is appointed.
